Welcome from the 2025 MLGA Executive Committee

Welcome to the McNary Ladies Golf Association (MLGA). We are pleased to invite you to be or continue as a member and hope you will become active in numerous activities. The MLGA consists of 18-Hole Golfers and 9-Hole Golfers. We also encourage membership by participating in our Golf Development programs like Putters Group, the Short Course Group, and our Bad Girls Group.

Days Play begins on the first Tuesday in April for the 9 and 18 Hole groups and closes the last Tuesday in October. Players designate a 18 or 9 hole group for this competition. Members can play in non-designated groups for fun and a chance to get to know others.The Bad Girls group start after the nine hole group in a non-competitive and modified course play. Putters on Thursday mornings and Short Course on Monday evenings start in mid-May.

Off the course, we have three annual activities. These include an Opening Event where ladies gather for a meal and hear about the up-coming season and new/old golf rules etc.. A Closing Event celebrates the victories and accomplishments of our golf season. And, the Holiday Luncheon gathers together our MLGA members and the McNary HOA social ladies for special merriment and fun.

18-Hole Group

Ladies play 18 holes of golf, in groups of four, with tee times starting around 8:30 AM on Tuesdays. The season begins on April 8th. Players must complete MLGA registration form and pay the registration fee. Also, through the McNary Golf Club Pro Shop players must sign-up for a USGA/OGA Handicap with a fee of $45. Once registered, members can access the MLGA Members Only Page to sign-up on Days Play Sheets. Weekly costs would be regular green and cart fees if a non-member of McNary Golf Club.

9-Hole Group

Ladies play 9 holes of golf, in groups of four, with tee times starting around 9:00 AM on Tuesdays. They alternate weeks playing on the front nine or the back nine. Season begins on April 8th. Players must complete MLGA registration form and pay a registration fee. Also, through the McNary Golf Club Pro Shop players must sign-up for a USGA/OGA Handicap with a fee of $45. Once registered, members can access the MLGA Members Only Page to sign-up on Days Play Sheets. Weekly costs would be regular green and cart fees if a non-member of McNary Golf Club.

Golf Development Programs

As a volunteer organization, MLGA is fortunate to offer organized play as well as three programs that introduce golf or help with being a better golfers. With a MLGA membership the these programs are offered for an additional fee. Ladies from other golf clubs may sign-up as well with a fee TBD. It is not necessary to register for a GHIN to participate. Jeanie White coordinates these programs and can be called for information at (503-569-7210).

Putters Group

Beginner or experienced, you’ll find some fun and some fundamentals! The group meets weekly on Thursdays from 10:30 to 12:00 on the practice green at the Pro Shop. We start with some warm-up drills and a little skill tip. We play 18 holes, all on the practice green so there is only a little walking. We end with some fun (funny) skill shots and when we adjourn and many of us meet for lunch at the View Restaurant! All are welcome. Beginner instruction and equipment is provided as needed. Oh, and don’t forget, it’s a great opportunity to meet new friends! Sessions are scheduled mid-May 16 to mid-September 19th

Short Course Group

Think you might want to play golf but the long holes scare you? Need some practice on your short game? Want some fun? This is the group for you! Beginners and skilled players are all welcome. This group will focus on the basics of the short game, playing holes from 50 to 100 yards out. We will meet on Monday evenings starting at 5:30 PM. Sessions run mid-May through mid-September.

Bad Girls Group

Not quite ready for prime time play with the 9-hole ladies group, but want to get out and have some fun? This is your group. Players will play 9 holes weekly, following the 9-hole players on Tuesday mornings. This group will have ‘special rules’ to make play easier and more fun, while building confidence in your game and meeting other players. You register and pay the regular MLGA membership fee. Once registered, members can access the MLGA Members Only Page to sign-up on Days Play Sheets. Weekly costs would be regular green and cart fees if a non-member of McNary Golf Club.
